be yourself

My parents wanted to curve a diamond

Instead they wrecked my selfworth.

But its was the best thing that happened to me.

As a child I was a social butterfly, jumping from one activity into another not having a clear goal.

There was an inclination from my parents side to choose that one thing.

When I was 10 I fell in love with theatre but I kept busting out about how I want to write books make movies, be a psychologist just all of it.

My parents attitude was burn what we don't like, grow what we want to see, but it just made me feel lile who I was was wrong undesirable and failiure.

This partially destroyed my self worth, but deep inside the messy coil still remained the diamond I was born.

The thing is, nobody can destroy the prciousness we have underneath the dirt.

We just need to raise, shake off the dirt and rediscover our inner diamond.

Yes it took me longer to clean the layers of the dirt, but it also made my in er diamond so resilient that now when I witness it's endurance and brillance, I know there is nothing in the world that can stop me.

In Be Yourself we will reflect on how to get the layers of dirt off so that we can access our diamond.

what be yourself reflects on

the themes.

  • physical symptoms responsible for not being yourself
  • accessing your inner diamond after years of layers of dirt
  • turns out I wasn' (adhd, sensitive, weird), I just wasn't fully myself
  • difference in feeling yourself and not
  • the fear of jumping- why wanting to be accepted keeps us at distance from being ourselves

be yourself was held live and recorded. the recording stays with the women in the garden.
